Sherry Clements was born and raised in Arkansas. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Goddard College located in Plainfield, Vermont. In 2008, she graduated from UALR with a Master's of Social Work degree. Her job history ranges from waiting tables to being an adjunct college instructor. Today she lives in Little Rock, Arkansas, with her son, John, a mutt named Gracie, a cat named Mouse, and one recycled rabbit. Her day job includes working in psychosocial recovery at the Veteran's Administration. A beautiful day in her life would have to include a bike ride along the Arkansas River. The Holdouts is her first novel.
