IN SEASON
For you I fall
Many colors coat the shades I wear
Like so many leaves
Orange, yellow, red
Joyfully melancholy emotions
Bitter yet sweet
Humble yet proud
Marching down to the house that mourns
The place that yesterdays love dies
Waits to be reborn
Painful is love in silence
Passion once vibrant, alive with hues called feeling
Drop to the ground to display my naked soul
In the cold deadness of my winter
I stand still between life and death
One foot in the icy grave
One heart encased, aflame
Though all outward signs of life withdraw
My love burns through the frozen stone
Driven through eternity to seek its kin
For you I spring
Fresh, pulsing new life so green
Tender shoots so strong in its youth
The spirit washes over me
Sparkling and clean
Lifting up the lost life in me
Enraptured by loves thoughts of you
Caught up in the ways, so many rays of you
So many degrees, I come to fullness in the light of you
Broadly I cast my wings of love out and over you
Until tomorrow
When once again
I fall for you
