I don't do resolutions anymore. Why? Because they go right out the window. For example, I resolved to blog regularly here at RedRoom in 2011.
Not a single post. Argh.
So, what was I doing? I was writing. I was reading and reviewing books. I was doing life purpose work. I was volunteering at the local animal shelter.
I was living.
Why? Because part of what I did in 2010 was to begin the process of "reinvention," which was more like getting back to who I had always been in the first place.
So, what am I doing this year to continue "reinventing"? I'll be finishing two works in progress (I have imposed deadlines; one of them will be done this month and ready for editorial review). I'll continue working with animals. I'll mentor other writers where I can, and help my friends grow their businesses.
And I still won't make any resolutions.
