Rebecca Wells, the much loved Louisiana actress, playwright, and author, will do a performance reading of her short story from the new anthology Best of LSU Fiction. Ms. Wells is a committed, vocal activist in the crusade against wars.
The author has graciously accepted our invitation to participate in Words & Music. Ms. Wells is recovering from advanced neurological Lyme's Disease, which had severely impacted her stability and stamina. This will be her first public performance since she contracted the debilitating illness.
Ms. Wells is known to fans worldwide as the Number One New York Times Bestselling author for her first novel, Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, which was followed by three more New York Times bestsellers, Little Altars Everywhere, Ya-Yas in Bloom and, most recently, The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder. Ms. Wells is winner of the American Booksellers' Book of the Year Award (ABBY) and the Western States Book Award. The Crowning Glory of Calla Lilly Ponder was a Booksense choice.
Ms. Wells will sign in the Book Mart immediately after her performance and then she will join other faculty members for Literature & Lunch to discuss Using Fiction to Get at the Truth. For more on Ms. Wells, Click Here!
