Shannon Cain earned her MFA in 2005 from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, and in 2006 was awarded a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her stories have appeared most recently in Tin House, the New England Review, The Massachusetts Review. Her stories have been awarded an O. Henry Prize for 2008 and a Pushcart Prize for 2009. She is the Executive Director of Kore Press (www.korepress.org), an independent publisher of literature by women, and is currently at work on a novel.
