Most of the time, when you hear someone look back on their career, they can pinpoint a pivotal make-or-break moment that changed either the course or the velocity of their direction.
As I sit here absorbing some really exciting news, I’m realizing that I have one such moment on my horizon.
Yes, it would be wiser to ponder a possible career-changing moment after it has actually been well executed and has led to even bigger things, but if I did that I wouldn’t be me-- pie eyed and wound more tightly than your Timex.
My big break in the making will allow me to deliver a portion of my “Life 4.0” speech to a crowd of 800 people at Project Cornerstone’s annual awards breakfast at the Fairmont hotel in San Jose on March 19th.
Considering that I have only given this speech to audiences of 25 people to date, I recognize this as the opportunity that it is to take my new-found passion to unite my love of words with my desire to bring people together for a deeper sense of connection to their respective communities, and turn it into a career.
The course is now set and though I don’t expect to vavoom like a Viper and go from zero to 60 in four seconds flat, is it too much to hope for to make like a Mustang?
