Author of the recently re-released American Monsters, Sezin is a professional global nomad who has literally lived all over the world since birth. Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka to a Lithuanian-American mother and Singhalese-Tamil father, Sezin then went on to live in Zambia, Thailand, Pakistan, India, California, Switzerland, France, Spain, Turkey, Czech Republic and currently calls Köln (Cologne), Germany home.
A former human rights activist who worked as a freelance reporter at the UN's Geneva headquarters, Sezin has a special place in her heart for the indigenous peoples of the world whose lands are being stolen and whose rights are encroached upon daily.
A fluent Spanish speaker, Sezin has translated two academic studies from Spanish into English as well as having worked as a researcher in the Archives of the Indias in Seville, Spain.

A natural-born anthropologist, Sezin writes not only ethnographic accounts of all her journeys, both spiritual and worldwide, she also writes modern day fairy tales and scary stories that will curl your toes.
Easily obsessed, some of her current obsessions include making art on the back of free postcards, natural medicine, absinthe, art nouveau, taking photographs of energy, and watching crime shows as she researches for her American Monsters sequel: American Monsters in Los Angeles.
