I have previously worked as a professional race horse trainer, a factory worker, a farm hand, a Gunner’s Mate in the US Navy, an operations supervisor in Japan, an area manager in Northeast Thailand, a general affairs manager working with refugees from Burma, the marketing manager for a Thai-Malaysian joint venture, an instructor at a number of international universities and some other things that have slipped my mind at the moment.
I am currently working for a branch of an Australian university in Vietnam. I have also done a bit of writing; I have written books, book chapters and articles for academic journals and conferences. My latest book is Expatriates in Asia: Breaking Free from the Colonial Paradigm, Chandos Publishing (Oxford) Limited, 2008
