While just playing around on the Net, I came across something both bizarre and interesting.
Let me back up for a minute. The publishers of my books over the years have often sold the books directly, of course, through indie bookstores, and online via venues like Amazon.com. Standard stuff for a living poet. While the major chain bookstores could order many of my more recent poetry books, few actually carried the books on their shelves. After all, I'm far from well known, eh?
Anyway, I've found it interesting to note that my last book, CELLS, could be found via bookstores and online venues around the world, including numerous places throughout the UK, several German places, and even in Russia! Now, here's the interesting tidbit I found online this week: CELLS is being sold on Comedy Central's website! I know, I know, it's crazy, isn't it? I mean, it's not a humorous book. If anything, people find the poetry in it quite sobering. So, I'd love to know who at Comedy Central decided to carry the book and make it available to their customers, you know? And why aren't I getting more sales as a result!?! Heh. Well, I just had to share that info. I thought it was interesting....
