Stylistically, my work has been influenced by Joyce Carol Oates, Gunter Grass, and E.L. Doctorow. Conceptually, I continue to be interested in and influenced by the work of Aldous Huxley and George Orwell. It is to these two authors that my newest collection of short fiction, American Soma, pays homage.
