Wow.
I don't know whether to be relieved or sad that NaNoWriMo is finally coming to a close (Though, at the moment, I'm more on the relieved side, with a touch of anxiety, because I have not yet reached my personal goal of 75,000 words--about 7K more to go!)
I've definitely done better this year than last. And I've killed myself over it a lot more. But I can definitely see results--Anya's Story is much more...complete, at least in my mind, than Zella was. I'm hoping this will help, as Anya's Story is the prequel to Zella. Perhaps fleshing out this NaNo will give me a better idea of what to do with last year's, which I am completely rewriting, by the way. But perhaps not right away. As soon as NaNoWriMo is over, and NaNoFiMo, too, I am going to take a nice, multiple-month-long hiatus from Zella and all of the spin-offs, and go work on something less taxing. Maybe a nice fluffy fanfiction, or that B story I've been working on off and on for the past year or so.
Anyway, I have lots of work I've been putting off, first to reach the collective goal of 50,000, then to reach my personal goal of 75,000 (and I'm not there yet). Either way, I really have to go tackle that pile of work now. Eek!
