Roy Carlisle's Biography

Roy M Carlisle is the Acquisitions Director for the Independent Institute, a scholarly think tank specializing in ideas about political economy. In that capacity, he oversees TII's publishing program and the editorial development of book manuscripts. Currently Roy serves on the national Board of Directors of the Independent Book Publishing Association (IBPA).  He has been Senior Editor at HarperOne, West Coast Senior Editor at The Crossroad Publishing Company, and Co-Owner and Editorial Director at Circulus Publishing Group. Mr. Carlisle received his B.A. in philosophy from Whitman College and M.A. in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and has taught publishing courses at the University of California at Berkeley and at the IBPA University.
