Kickstarting a shared world

Steven E. Schend is the latest editor/author to ask me to contribute to a shared world. There's some great names associated with this project, including the legendary Ed Greenwood.

Schend is using Kickstarter to allow people to get in early to support this project and purchase items like limited editions or signed copies. While Kickstarter has been a popular source of "crowdfunding" special projects for filmmakers and musicians, I'm starting to see more and more small press and art publishers use it as a way to pre-sell value-added editions of their work.
