Rochelle Cashdan's Biography

Member Info

Guanajuato, Mexico
Nov 2010

I’m a writer and anthropologist, skills I combined as the editor of Indians of the Northwest (Discovery Enterprises, Ltd.), an anthology in the words of tribal people. By googling my name, you'll see a half dozen of my speculative and ethnic stories available on the internet. After teaching in the inner city in Washington, D.C. and later finding that my anthropology degree barely paid off, I shifted to cultural journalism, first in Oregon and now in Mexico. These days I do about half my talking and reading in Spanish, but continue to write in English.
