Robin Romm was born in Eugene, Oregon. After graduating from college, she lived in the Bay Area for about 9 years where she worked as a Federal Investigator, nanny, and publisher's assistant. She attended graduate school at San Francisco State University and while there, wrote many of the stories that appeared in her acclaimed story collection, The Mother Garden. A former MacDowell Fellow, she is currently Assistant Professor of Creative Writing and Literature at the College of Santa Fe.
