The West, or at least the Classic tradition, worships the human body so much that the mastery of anatomy was once synonymous with being an artist. We, forgetting the breadth of nature, considered Chinese and Japanese odd , while their interests were only natural and our art culture was the freakish one: it amounts to a muscle fetish. The Near East with its shunning of the same is merely the reverse side of that fetish, and I agree with those Japanese philosophers who consider Islam Occidental. Most young artists are into the sex they love and themselves and neglect natural beauty even if they claim to love it. Even I, who thought I loved it, failed to find the beauty I should have found in nature when I was younger. Now, too poor to even afford a digital camera, there is little I can share with you, but please enjoy what I have managed to put together one way or another. Nature is more than a muse, she is the artist and we are her editors.
