What is love? It's a simple yet profound question. Ask any two people what love is and answers will vary. For some, it's that intense feeling of falling, the thrill of excitement; of being with someone new. For others, it's security in knowing they aren't alone in this great convoluted thing we call life. And for others, still...it is something which encompasses all things physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
But what IS love? Are you born with it or is it something you obtain from your environment and life's experiences? Does love equal sacrifice? Or does it equal stability? If love is subjective can it ever be objective?
The word "love" itself, unfortunately, tends to be overused in today's society. Often you will here someone say, "Oh I love that." or "I love to go there."
Should love really be so generalized that it's just another "filler" word describing something you like a lot? Or should it be more special and maintain a deeper meaning and solely used in conjunction with any form of intimacy?
So I ask you this question and take the time to consider your answer. What is Love?
