Justin Bieber...just the name sets my teeth on edge.  Do a search for his name and you will come up with over 94 Million hits in about .16 seconds..as opposed to the teen heart throb sensation of my generation..New Kids on the Block..who get a measley 70 Million hits in the same amount of time.  But what is it about this mousey looking man-child that appeals to the tween/pre-teen masses???  I asked my seven year old daughter this very question..."He's cute," is the first comment, "He's a good singer," is the next comment..."Really?" I asked and in my mind I wonder.."As opposed to who?  The Chipmunks?" 

Then the true answer came..his songs are easy to sing to..well..ok..I can give you that..as yes, "Baby, Baby.." seems kind of catchy..but here's something else...YouTube...the kids of this generation are bombarded by these fly-by-night home made videos that are creating over night sensations of semi-talented children that are a dime a dozen in your local junior high school..Back in the day, when MTV first came out, there was a song that stated rather blatantly.."Video Killed the Radio Star."  For this generation..YouTube has killed talent and genius, not to mention taste.
