I like listening to self-help audio books.
They make great company while I'm driving.
I listen to Dr. Wayne Dyer a lot.
His tone of voice keeps me calm while battling traffic.
I gain many insights and find them applicable in my everyday life.
I have the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary on CD too.
My mother was deeply religious and prayed the rosary everyday.
I made her a CD copy to listen to since her mind often wandered off.
When she passed away I kept the CD’s.
Did you know that there are actually four Mysteries of the Holy Rosary?
I grew up learning about the Glorious, Sorrowful and Joyful Mysteries.
Only later in my adult life did I discover the fourth mystery called Luminous.
I wonder if my mother ever figured that out while listening to the audio.
I think about how prayerful my mother was.
I understand now where she got her source of inner strength.
Like her, I find courage in listening to the wisdom of others.
It beats having a conversation with myself while driving.
