Officially enrolled for the first trimester of Sign Language class.
College of Saint Benilde, a much bigger University means that I must come prepared to make my way through the regular college crowd of young students.
I took baby steps in approaching the Sign Language booth because I was nervous about communicating with the deaf lady in charge.
I wrote my name down on the enrollment sheet.
We exchanged a few signs and I was able to introduce myself and inform her that I wanted to enroll and pay my tuition.
I followed her to various departments for processing. She was swift and efficient! She accompanied me to the ID booth, left me there and signed “see you for orientation on June 9.”
Mission accomplished in 30 minutes! That was slightly intimidating but actually easy. I am excited to meet new classmates and begin signing again.
