A staycation suits me best during Easter holiday.
Early morning in prayer seeking divine guidance, a bird landed outside my window chirping.
I took it as an affirmation from above.
Going to the gym feels calmer.
No one is in a rush to finish the routine just to get to work on time.
I don’t need music in my ears to drown out the chaos.
It’s nice and calm.
Driving is easy.
The roads are clear from traffic.
I can think without distraction from honking horns.
I don’t hear cars driving by at night from my bedroom.
Instead I hear other noises that are usually drowned out by cars passing by.
I close my eyes and inhale the silence.
I’m ready to call it a day.
