OMG

Truly a nightmare. Thank you for sharing your horrible experience. It is a cautionary tale for anyone who is so anxious to be published that they are taken in by people like the "publisher" you had.

I'm so sorry to read about this but thank you for sharing your experience.

You are welcome!

Darlene thank you for reading my post. I had to share it in order to hopefully save someone else from the same fate. This has indeed been a nightmare.  We refuse to let this man and his agency get away with it. We are fighting it all the way. Please also see the website by Victoria Strauss who writes a blog called "Writers Beware", she contacted me after reading this blog and she too wrote up a good article to share with her followers. These are "teachable moments" for any aspiring writer. Lessons learned!

Teachable Moments

You're so right, Rhonda. I've had several books published and I'm always on guard. That part of the business just isn't nice. It's tough enough with a reputable, well-established publisher but the others out there "lurking" really irritate me because there are so many innocent people who can be taken in by them.

Rhonda, thank you so much for

Rhonda, thank you so much for sharing this ghastly story; my daughter and I are finally ready to share our story, so we'll use all this information.  I wish your daughter and you the best as you pursue this issue.  Oh my.
