Reece gives an overview of the book:

What Happens When We Die is a free eBook offered to help those who are afraid of what happens when we die.  It contains what I know to be truth.  The conviction I have for this experience is more real than any other experience I have in life.  For example, the sun will come up is fairly certain.  However, this is even more so.  It's not something I experienced, it's something I passioned.

The death experience, for me, was a powerful, wonderful experience.  It was the passing from the limited flesh to the unlimited spirit.  We are corporal creatures while we are here on Earth.  However, it is not our divine nature.  Nevertheless, while we are on Earth, we can learn to live from the Spirit-Self the eternal part of us.In this passage from Crossing Twice, I address the death experience from its very beginning:Nothing happened to let me know I was dying.  There I was, listening to the mechanical sounds of the ventilator, and hearing the murmur of loving voices.  Peace enfolded me. There were no flashes of light.  There were no bursts of joyous angel-song.  It was calm, quiet, and gray.  This is how my crossing over from life to death, from earth to Heaven began. The serene sounds affected me.  I felt better – rested.  I remember I tried to open my eyes.  However, instead of my eyes opening, I simply became aware of a soothing gray mist.  The mist was everywhere, and I began to hear the rhythm of the ventilator fade, and the serenity expanded.  It was at this point I became aware that I was no longer in pain.  The suffering had been so intense, and now there was none!  The pain in my feet was the least of the physicians’ concerns.  The pain medication was being used very sparingly so as not to interfere with my respiration.
