I've finished my first novel which took 28 years to pull from my flesh.  Its  not brilliant but its not horrible either.  It was passed on by an agent however.  A friend is reading it to give me advice.  He has room from which he can speak.  But its time to pound out a 2nd, perhaps more mature, truer manuscript.  Something from within?  Shall I walk forth into the dark depths a la Eugene O'Neil?

I think the NaNoWriMo 2008 might be a good impetus and structured process.
