Rebecca Hensley went from underground newspapers in the 1970's to writing for weeklies in the 1980's, for graduate school professors in the 1990's, and for her blog fans in the new millennium. She specializes in pop sociology and just completed a book that uses her life as a mechanism to talk about race from a sociological perspective. One of her blog posts appeared in a reader on Welfare in June, she has two magazine articles coming out next month, and she's putting the finishing touches on an academic piece about bloggers as social change agents, but she spends most of her time in front of a classroom. And thinking about where we need to go from here.
