A WWII adopted orphan who, as a 22 year old secretary, emigrated to Chicago where she had many adventures in the Civil Rights Movement, the Reform Jewish community & the Counter Culture. 17 years & 2 children later she went west to the Bay Area where she ran her cleaning company & took training in the Human Potential Movement. In the '80s she relocated to Port Townsend, Washington & trained as a Children's Advocate for the Jefferson County Domestic Violence Program, earning her keep as Managing Editor of the Townsend Letter for Doctors. With her kids grown & flown, she got married & moved with her new husband & his father further west to homestead in the rainforest. Meanwhile, they ran the much-enjoyed book review site www.rebeccasreads.com until her Vietnam Veteran husband's war-related health issues overcame them. Recuperating from by-pass surgery & for therapy, they both began writing. Fed up with being rejected by literary agents they started Big River Press & published Standing The Watch: The Greatest Gift, her memoir of caring for their beloved Poppa as he died. The Dead Husband is her first cozy mystery. She is now a grandmother.
