Just wanted to add my quick 2 cents about the Dark Knight movie. Batman movies are something special to me because I am a very big Batman fan. Love everything from the Kane/Finger beginnings to the Neal Adams/Denny O'Neil revolution thru Frank Miller, etc.
This movie is all about Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker. Love the script. Heath Ledger tapped into something otherwordly. I see a lot of Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke" in the script, and Ledger tapped into the essense of what made that story the definitive Joker story. Seriously, as the story got darker, Ledger's performance got better. The way he waxed philsophically about why the Joker did what he did. It was almost Shakespearean. One of the greatest villian performances ever!
