I have recently published a book entitled "From Movie City To Music City USA" (My Journey Through Showbiz And How It Works). The book is an autobiography as well as a how to book pertaining to the Entertainment Industry, I share my personal experiences as well as the scams and disappointments one will face pursuing this industry. As in any industry there are pro's and con's and no matter what profession one chooses for their life’s work, one thing I definitely found out after 25 years of pursuing and working in several phases of the Entertainment industry is that one must have a back up plan in the event you do not completely catch what you are chasing. My book takes the reader on my 25 year journey that started when I was 20 years old. Even though I haven't made what everyone refers to as the "Big Time" I've had the greatest time of my life, I've personally met some of the major movie stars, and country music stars, as well as recorded my own CD in Nashville in which I also wrote half the tracks on the album. I once produced and hosted my own TV and radio show simultaneously in Las Vegas, the TV show was entitled "Las Vegas Singers Roundup" on K.Y.R.K.TV Channel 35, and the radio show was entitled "Let's Talk Country Music" on K.L.A.V. 1230 AM. I am a member of BMI a songwriters rights organization as well as a former voting member of the Academy of Country Music, The Country Music Association and the Grammies. I am also an award winning producer. I still work on films once in awhile I guess it is in my blood to the point that I will never stop completely. I also continue submitting my CD to major and independent record labels still pursuing that record deal. Sample track’s of my CD can be heard from my website at www.randallrutledge.com there you can also read the back cover of my book and can purchase either my CD or book, the book is available in print and e-book. If you have ever wanted to know how the entertainment industry works from the good to the bad then this is the book for you, as I pull no punches and tell it like it is.
