Rana DiOrio's Biography

Rana has written her way through life — as a student, a lawyer, an investment banker, a private equity investor, and now as an author of children's picture books. Her first book, What Does It Mean To Be Global?, launched on October 2, 2009. Her second book, What Does It Mean To Be Green?, was released on March 15, 2010, just in time to celebrate Earth Day 2010. Her third book, What Does It Mean To Be Present?, was released in Fall 2010. What Does It Mean To Be Safe?, the newest book in her series, was published in September of 2011. All of Rana DiOrio's works have received numerous industry awards.

Her interests include practicing yoga, reading non-fiction, dreaming, effecting positive change, and . . . being global, green, present, and safe! She lives in San Francisco, California with her three Little Pickles.
