Book Signing - is it really worth it?
Sleeper Cell

I've talked to a bunch of a Authors from time to time concerning book signing.  Most seem to indicate that it's a waste of gas and time and if you are lucky you may sell  20 books.  That selling out of the car trunk and storing books in the garage is the result.  That all books are not marketed the same.  That as a consequence you have to find a marketing and promotion niche to get the job done.  That you best result is "seeding" the marketplace through friends, associations, organizations and PR efforts.  That most tabloids will not accept self-publishers.
