where the writers are
Somebody help me get organized, pretty please...

I'm wading through my writing and my poems,

Like digitally abandoned garden gnomes,

Left to multiply on the garden of my hard disk.

I'm tired of this disorganized risky style;

Haphazardly dribbling words in any old file

Undated and ambiguously named.

What to do about this state of virtual dishevelment?

Need I dig a 'cloud' basement for my daily installment?

Oh pity chaotic me for the love of organization skills!

I'm far too prolix!

Please teach me new tricks!

How do you keep your writing organized?

I don't.

I am so relieved

that I am not alone in this club of chaos! My own writing simply overwhelms me... Perhaps not the quality (although we'd probably disagree about that) but the sheer quantity of words piling up from that first fateful sonnet back when I was a lad of 16 or 17.

Alas, my quantity has only

Alas, my quantity has only accumulated from the amount of years, not the amount of writing. Still, it's all over the place in various forms of record: notebooks, journals, ratty legal pads, fading dot-matrix printouts, floppies, and long-lost hard drives.
