My virtual book tour stop for today is at http://fizzybeverage.blogspot.com/2008/06/mrs-lieutenant.html. This is a truly delightful book review even though the reviewer is nervous about writing this particular review. Read the review to find out what made her nervous.
And I just got an email from a book reviewer in Okinawa who has graciously agreed to write a guest post about the U.S. military presence there. I've very excited to bring you this guest post at a future date.
And for you military spouses out there - are you writing your contest entry for "Tell-Your-Own-Story" at www.yourmilitary.com? I just heard from Nancy Brown at YourMilitary.com that Lifetime is sending prizes for the contest.

I've finally tuned in on the smart way you are getting your new book noticed. Smart, smart, smart. How do you go about finding the bloggers? Technocrati.com?
This is very interesting.

Getting bloggers to notice me
Actually, doing a keyword search on Technorati (or BlogCatalog where my blogs are also registered) is on my TO DO list. I haven't gotten that far yet. I highly recommend a virtual book tour with Dorothy Thompson of www.pumpupyourbookpromotion.com because she or one of the other tour organizers makes all the arrangements with the book bloggers. (You just have to write the guest posts.) And I know Dorothy does children's books too because there's someone on the June virtual tour with me who has a children's book.
Now I'm trying to keep going back to those sites to write follow-up comments. And when I become aware of blogs that are NOT book blogs but are on subjects of interest to me (for example, www.chrisbrogan.com or www.theteencoach.com) I'm trying to follow those blogs and write comments. Of course, this all takes a lot of time!
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.
Thank you, Phyllis
I will. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of work it takes to have a web presence, but it's a lot easier than driving or flying to faraway places and have little returns on the expended energy.
Hmm...I checked out their website. It looks very good.
