10 Things About the NBA I'm Thankful For!!

It's Thanksgiving and while I'm still thinking about all the things I should be thankful for in my life I also wanted to be mindful of why I'm thankful for NBA basketball....in no particular order;

1). I'm thankful I'm able to watch a replay of the Houston Rockets play the Utah Jazz without laughing hysterically. Both these teams are not as good as many of the self appointed experts told us they were.

2). I'm thankful that New York Knicks owner James Dolan had the sanity not to re-sign Jeremy Lin because Linsanity was nothing more than a fluke.

3). I’m thankful the Buss family decided to hire Mike D'Antoni rather than Phil Jackson. Phil may be looking for ring number 12 but Jeannie is looking for ONE ring….watch out for brothers!

4). I'm thankful the NBA is even playing at all....this time last year they weren't just like the NHL isn’t playing this year.

5). I’m thankful the New York Knicks and not the Brooklyn Nets are currently tied with Memphis for the best record in the NBA.

6). I'm thankful that so far the "flop rule" is basically a non issue since I'm still not exactly sure how the NBA will fairly enforce it.

7). I'm thankful that Jalen Rose has his own weekly podcast because that man keeps it real. The “All Dark Alley Team” bit he did last week was awesome!

8). I'm thankful that Golden State has started well because Mark Jackson is going to be one helluva coach by the time he finishes his coaching career.

9). I’m thankful that Ray Allen decided to take his talents to South Beach. The Celtics are better off without Judas Shuttlesworth.

10).  I'm thankful that once a week my friend Jameyan Smith and I get to talk NBA hoops on my show....meeting Jameyan was one of the best things that happened all year and I met him because of NBA basketball.

Happy Thanksgiving NBA!!
