Phil recently retired (December 2011) as the vice president and chief technology officer for Hewlett-Packard’s (HP) $40B Personal Systems Group, where he was responsible for long-range strategic planning, research and development and the innovation pipeline for all of the company’s PC product lines, including mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc), notebooks, desktops, and workstations.
