Update 12:59 PM: The governor ran late with the editorial board, and I was only able to get him for a few minutes. I tried to pack in as many of your questions as I could, but was only able to get to a few. Thanks for all your emails and comments, especially on such short notice. Many of you asked questions that were also asked at the editorial board meeting, so I hope you'll watch the full video of that conversation when it's posted (I'll put up a link), as well as watch the video of the conversation I had with him, which is being edited by our tireless videographer, Fred Larson, as I type. Next time we do this, I'll give you more lead time and will join him at the ed board meeting, so we can make sure he has even more of an opportunity to respond to your questions and concerns. The governor is in the Chronicle building today for an editorial board meeting, talking about a $17 billion budget crisis now cooking in a planned stew of lottery revenues, bonds on Wall Street, sales tax hikes, program cuts and controversy. Our ed board will ask great questions about the budget and other serious topics, and I understand that that meeting is being taped and will be posted online. But Schwarzenegger is also planning on stopping by my office for a more informal video chat with me after that meeting. So, what are the questions you'd want to ask Arnold if you ran into him in an elevator? I can't promise I'll get to them all -- and we're meeting soon, at 12:30, but post them in the comments and we'll do our best.I'll post an update on the interview later today, as well as (as soon as it's edited), the video interview I did with Barbara Walters last night. So watch this space.
