Limousine liberal? Personally, I don't like limousines -- they're too big, you slide around on those long rounded seats like you're on a boat in heavy seas and they often smell like disinfectant.

But on the Chile issue, who knows what would have happened had Pinochet either not been there or even been allowed to stick around unprosecuted? In "The Judge and the General," (the doc I posted about that netted the comment above), Richard Nixon gives his view ("a red sandwich" in Latin America), which just reminded me how much I miss Nixon, one of the most complex and oddly compelling presidents ever.
