Keeps Going

It blows my mind that day after day this heap of living matter that I am keeps waking up each morning, keeps getting up, keeps keeping on and keeps on going.

Even More Mind-Blowing

Pavel,

What's even more "mind-blowing"  is that, both past and present, human beings in far more "extreme" conditions of poverty, illness, abuse and oppression than yours also had/have the will to go on.  Don't you think it's our basic survival instinct?

Faulkner said it all in his Nobel speech:  "I believe man will not merely endure; he will prevail."

re: keeps going

The heap of matter that we are will keep going and going  even as it ages until it is no more.  The only constant is change. By willed choice, we make our spiritual changes better than its previous states.
