20 Thoughts an Evening

1.

Like a hand in a glove,

Mind's an analogy of reality.

Consciousness is the real thing.

2.

Ego is a memory.

Forget it.

3.

Look at this proletarian body!

Look at its billions of constitutionally independent cells!

Look at how they all united in one mind!

Can you?

4.

If I had a tail,

I'd chase it.

Why not?

I am doing it now.

5.

Mind leads Consciousness

by its own nose.

Silly!

6.

A blade of grass

watches another blade of grass

and learns

that it's on wind.

7.

Insight is mind

turned inside out.

Let essence be surface

Let the form rest in peace.

8.

From mitochondrion to neocortex,

Dzogchen

is its own origen.

9.

See the dog chasing its tail?

That's easy.

See the tail chasing the dog?

That's still easy.

Here's the hard one:

You chasing your own "I."

10.

Consciousness

Sling-shoots its own Mind

like a stone

See it go!

11.

A Sherpa took me to the mount-top.

And then higher!

Pretty, but not true.

A Sherpa took me nowhere.

Showed me the real View.

12.

Eckhart Tolle says: New Earth.

That's right: the tenth planet of Consciousness

is right in your solar plexus.

13.

Here's some Celestine algebra for you:

the real one

is indivisible.

14.

Let me ask you this.

If you had invented enlightenment,

would you patent it?

15.

Zen tricycle has three wheels.

One of samsara.
One of nirvana.

And one wheel of neither.

Ride that one!

16.

My favorite thing

is thing-less-ness.

Yours?

17.

Neuroscience,

like a little kid on Christmas eve,

awaits Consciousness

to bridge the synaptic gap.

Ha!

18.

Essence

needs

no P.R.

19.

Truth is simple:

it's essence in a wave-form.

Not even "it" is.

20.

My poetry of awakening

puts me

to sleep.
