Read an E Book Week is underway (7-13 March) and my crime thriller novel In For The Kill is being featured as a free download for one week only. There has already been a tremendous response, as you would imagine with hundreds of hits on my official web site. Some authors might not like one of their novels being given away for free, but it is only for one week and it is an excellent promotional tool, giving new readers a chance to try out my novels and, hopefully, if some enjoy reading In For The Kill, they will purchase or borrow from the libraries some of my other crime and thriller novels. It also introduces my web site to many people who would not normally visit it and the number of people signing up for my free e newsletter is impressive.
Read an E-Book Week was first recognised in 2004 and has been growing ever since along with the number of exciting new e reading devices now on the market. All my novels (with the exception of my new Inspector Horton marine mystery crime novel Blood on the Sand published UK 26 Feb 10 and USA May 10) and my business books are available as e books.
Read an E-Book Week is a not-for-profit week set aside to inform the public about the pleasures and advantages of reading electronically. Authors, publishers, vendors, the media and readers world-wide join in the promotional week to promote electronic reading.
You can read more about In For The Kill on my web site.
