After a lull in sending out queries to make one last revision of my manuscript of SWEET REVENGE, I've resumed sending them out again, albiet under a new title for my novel - which I won't disclose at this time.
I sent out 3 queries about a week ago, and got an automated response to one of them the next morning. I'm assuming the agency didn't even look at my query and probably isn't accepting new clients at this time, although they did state that they read every query and give full attention to every submission. Still, I can't see how they can do that so quickly, but oh, well. They were only my dream agency.
As for the other two queries, one agency said in its submission requirements that they will only respond if interested. I hate that. At least a receipt of somekind would be nice. So, right off, I will assume its a rejection unless I hear otherwise.
That leaves one agency which has not responded yet. Is that a good sign, or is it too early to tell? I guess time will tell.
In the meantime, I will be sending out more queries as soon as I get back some review comments on my query from my critique group and settle on a new title - which is why I can't tell you what it is yet.
