Paul Ogbonna's Biography

Member Info

Jan 2012

I was taught to have respect for my elders, lend a helping hand to those in need, hold the door for the person behind me, say excuse me when it's needed, and to treat people as I would like to be treated. I would be described as a patient, understanding, hardworking and fun to be around. I love to make people laugh. I have a big heart and love to laugh. I enjoy staying in, getting comfortable and curling up to read a good book, watch a movie or catch up on my favorite shows. I’m very loyal, especially to my friends and those I care about. I believe in having standards and standing by my word. I believe in honesty. I am a very caring person and a good listener.
I was born in a little village in West Africa. At the age of 14 I found myself fighting as a marine commando in an unfortunate civil war for three years that claimed over a million lives. After the war I was able to immigrate to the United States. Here in the United States I have been blessed with the privilege of studying Civil Engineering at Alabama A&M University and Business Administration at Colorado Technical University. I have worked for Pepsi-Co, Chrysler Corporation, General Motors, Harley-Davidson and now Titanium Metals Corporation in the capacity of a maintenance professional. I am writing a book to share my experiences in combat as a boy commando.
