I've been writing for several years but have never done anything with it. Just a bunch of unfinished beginnings. For the last three months I've been posting a kind of serial story one chapter at a time at www.oddvious83.blogspot.com . I've completed what I'd like to post there and have now entered the first edit.
I've never been at this point in the process before and have found, at least so far, that it is a very taxing affair. So, to take a break from the editing I've started writing a series of short stories that I will be posting here and at my blogspot space. I've found that it helps me see the peice I'm editing with new eyes. And I don't stay in the work part of the wonderful writing process so long that I lose touch with it.
If anyone has any suggestions for this aspiring writer about the editing process or... any suggestions, really, would be appreciated. There are many mistakes, but I've got a decent audience at my blogspot space. If anyone would like to read what I've got so far, follow the link above. I would suggest starting with the story under the tab 'The Lindsey Cycle'. All the stories tie together, but that's where I started writing and some of the events that happen later assume the Reader knows things. Nothing that would leave the Reader confused, but the story would lose some depth.
Thank you, any suggestions/constructive critisism are welcome.
