Patrick "Packy" Mader is an elementary teacher and children's picture book author. He is one of seven children raised on a small farm in Minnesota. Packy attended college in Bismarck, North Dakota, and then graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. Work experience includes working as a farmhand for neighbors, as a material handler for Tonka Toys, teaching adults, being a customer service representative, and currently teaching intermediate grades at a public rural school in Minnesota. He is the author of two books, Opa and Oma (German for Grandpa and Grandma) Together and Oma Finds a Miracle. A third book is expected to be launched in late 2008, Big Brother Has Wheels. His intergenerational books have positive messages and have a rural setting. Big Brother Has Wheels! is tentatively scheduled to be launched in late fall of 2009.
