Q: You went to the all boys Bishop Laughlin High School and then to the then all-male Manhattan College, where you vacillated between becoming a doctor or a priest. With such a Roman-Catholic background, what is your position on abortion?
Giuliani: I would uphold a woman's right of choice, which is a legal right, as well as a constitutional right. I would carry out the funding of abortion. As a public official, I would have to put aside my personal reservations, which are religous and philosophical. Otherwise, I can't take the oath of office.
