I have been mixing my time between working on our websites and working on my novel. For some reason, it is making me think about frames. Not just website frames, but frames in general. We have a tendency to frame our reality into little boxes and then switch the boxes between background and foreground. How we experience life sometimes has more to do with the frames than with reality.
I am a woman.
I am an Indian.
I am a mother.
I am a writer.
I am an abused child.
I am poor.
I am lonely.
Every one of these could be considered a frame around some portion of our personal reality. I know from working with people for over twenty years that the frame sometimes takes over and rules the life. If you want to change the moment, change the frame.
Don't box me in. Don't box yourself in.
