Wednesday, December 25, 2013: Saying "May the force be with you" is to wish someone well, that they will succeed and be protected from dangers. According to the Star War movies "the Force' enhances your natural physical and mental abilities, as well as your strength and accuracy. My hope for you today is that the "force will be with you and follow you into the New year.
The sky is delivering some mixed and challenging messages that will echo throughout the coming days. So expect to be soulful, spiritual and dreamy on the one hand and volatile and edgy on the other.
“Lively” would be one way to describe your interactions with others. Tempers may flare, breakouts, breakthroughs and/or revolts are possible... both personally and collectively. So don't be surprised if you're surprised.
Those you encounter, both family and friends, could blow both hot and cold. Everyone's excited but also anxious. Nerves are on edge, everyone feels a bit scattered, so be sensitive. Remember violent outbursts can destroy the spirit of the day. Be grateful, embrace tradition, spread magic and Holiday cheer.
Don't let your impulse for physical excitement or your growing courage to act independently led to obnoxious behavior and/or acting without serious consideration of how your actions affect others.
Master your instincts... control them and don't let them run wild. Go for a run... go to the gym... Just remember that whatever you choose to do... make sure it's physically draining. Use your excess energy. Don't let it use you. Be innovative and release the tension in non-confrontational ways.
Hope, optimism and imagination are in the air, which could bring some relief from any depression or discouragement you might be feeling. The coming week can also prompt spontaneous and surprising acts of kindness and generosity, so allow this energy of the week to spark acts of kindness and reach out to others (and yourself) with forgiveness, love and understanding.
"As I continued on my path of inner unfolding, I was confronted with some challenges, one of which I will call "the beast." What is this "beast"? Let me begin by recalling that the Tarot card called "Strength," which corresponds to the eleventh letter of the Hebrew alphabet, "caph or kaph," shows a strong woman holding closed the jaws of a lion. As I became more aware of my inner movements, I realized that there was indeed a beast within me that needed to be restrained and tamed. Sometimes when this beast takes over, I feel that I lose control, my actions become somewhat irrational and instinctual and can lead to aggressive or defensive behavior towards others, even towards those I love." ~ Taming the Beast by Diana Autumn
