- poet laureate of New Hampshire from 12/2006-3/2009, I've published 6 collections of poetry. My most recent book is Then, Something, Tupelo Press, 2009. Necessary Light (Utah State Univ. Press, 2000), winner of the May Swenson Book Award; Small Songs of Pan (Pecan Grove Press, 2001); Duties of the Spirit,(Tupelo Press, 2005) and 2 chapbooks. A Macdowell fellow,I've won the NH LIterary Award for an Outstanding Book of poems; and the Robert Frost Foundaton Award. And I've been nominated for a Pushcart Prize 5 times and have won The Robert Frost Foundation Poetry Prize. I've published widely in such journals as: Ploughshares, Nimrod, Rattle, North American Review, Massachusetts Review, Margie, Cimarron Review et. al.
