Once again Mehbooba Mufti, Chief of the People’s Democratic Party Jammu and Kashmir after igniting communal tensions in the state of Jammu and Kashmir on the issue of Land transfer to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has proved herself to be a Kashmir centric and anti-Indian.
In a programme “Mukabla “being televised on 23rd. August, 2008 at about 8 PM on a private Hindi channel NDTV, she has exhibited a display of anti-nationalism and immature thoughtless politician. Mehbooba Mufti reacted in a very bizarre manner when Mr. Rudy of the BJP was replying to a query of the anchor that why his party had not dealt with the article 370 when it was in power. While clarifying this point, Mr. Rudy said that this is their party’s commitment to the Nation that when his party assumes power in majority at the centre, the article 370 would be deleted from the statute book to bring the state of Jammu and Kashmir in the main stream with rest of India. And to this clarificatory statement Mehbooba Mufti reacted very sharply and admonished the Rudy out rightly saying that “ I challenge you that you cannot do this and before this Jammu and Kashmir will be separated from India or J&K will not remain a part of India.” This fearless anti-Indian seditious words spoken willfully and intentionally on a public platform, is a reflection of hidden agenda of the PDP leadership in Kashmir and an eye open warning to India. It also reflects the extent of venom being spread by the leadership of PDP in Kashmir valley in league with other separatist groups which is self evident and symptomatic of any danger in the future that needs to be nipped before it sprouts. The government of India must react and clarify to the people of India that how such unlawful and seditious statements has been made by Mehbooba Mufti which has the tendency to vitiate the already surcharged atmosphere in J&K and directly undermines the unity and integrity of India. The time has come for the Government of India to act against the perpetrators of violence and ends its appeasement policy towards anti-nationals thriving in Kashmir Valley.
