It’s difficult to Karen Storek down. Faith, family, and an indomitable spirit are her strongest weapons against adversity, and Karen Storek has known a few.

Ten years ago this single mom of two sons was diagnosed with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. There is no cure or treatment as yet to halt or reverse ALS. Karen has never given in to the diagnosis. She’s got too much to do. The founder of New Parents Network is taking her nonprofit information service to a worldwide audience among many other things.
