Like any good mother, Starline Nunley wanted to do something for her son. Her son is U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Parker Frawley. When asked what she could do for him, Frawley’s response was that he and the other men and women he served with in the Middle East were well supplied, but his four-footed colleagues needed help. Amazingly, given their huge budgets, the military doesn’t provide special equipment for the dogs sent oversees to assist in a variety of support jobs. That’s where Starline Nunley stepped in. She started an organization that provides every dog with protective gear. Read more about Starline’s efforts and see one of the dogs on my blog Living in the Heartland.com.
